With over 20 years of experience as a community nurse, I’ve always been passionate about patient advocacy and taking a holistic approach to healing. Throughout my nursing career, I’ve supported clients not only with their physical and medical needs but also with their emotional well-being—listening to their fears, hopes, and life challenges with compassion and respect.
My journey has also been shaped by my personal experiences. I’m a mom of two amazing neurodivergent children with Autism (Level 1), ADHD, and anxiety. I understand the unique concerns that come with parenting children who see and experience the world differently—not just in early childhood, but as they grow into adolescence and adulthood. This has given me deep insight into the daily realities of neurodivergent families, including the joys, fears, and unknowns.
Later in life, I was diagnosed with ADHD myself—a moment that brought both relief and clarity. It helped me better understand my own patterns of thinking, energy, and behavior, and deepened my connection with others who experience the world this way. I truly believe that “knowledge is power”—but I also know how overwhelming and confusing information can be, especially online. My goal is to help you cut through the noise, feel informed, and make empowered choices about your mental health and well-being.
I also live with chronic pain, following a major car accident in 1999 and subsequent conditions including carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, and shingles that affected my neck and shoulder. I understand firsthand the emotional toll of long-term pain—anger, grief, frustration—and the loss that comes when your body no longer moves or feels the way it once did.
All of these experiences have brought me here—to nursing and psychotherapy—where I continue my life’s work of helping people heal.
If you’re looking for a licensed, compassionate professional who will meet you where you are and walk beside you as you navigate life’s challenges, we may be a great fit.
In therapy, we’ll explore your emotions, core values, and daily life in a safe, supportive space. Together, we can build insight and develop realistic, sustainable strategies for positive change. Because ultimately, that’s what nurses—and therapists—are here for: to help you move toward healing and wholeness.
