An RN, Psychotherapist is a Registered Nurse (RN), who is registered with their respective regulatory bodies in the province where they live. For myself, that means I am registered, in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). My registration number is 0516138.
In addition to my nursing practice of 20 years, I have obtained additional training in psychotherapy in the form of a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP).
As a nurse, I integrate my medical knowledge with psycho-therapeutic techniques
to support individuals navigating mental health challenges, emotional distress,
and life transitions due to stressors impacting their daily lives.
I currently offer online sessions only. I hope to offer in-person sessions in early- mid 2026.
I support children from age 10+, teens, adults and seniors.
The cost varies depending on the type of therapy. The price for individual sessions is $130 per 50 min session. I do offer a sliding scale rates. Please contact me and we can talk more about the low & affordable therapy rates I offer. For couples, each 50 min session is $150.
My services are not covered by OHIP. Some insurance companies do accept RN, Psychotherapists including Desjardins, Green Shield, Manulife, Medavie Blue Cross and Sunlife as of October 2025.
RN psychotherapists have additional training, education and skills that uniquely qualify them to engage in psychotherapy. Although nurses can choose to be registered with the CRPO, under provincial legislation, it’s not necessary.
Having completed the MACP, I am qualified to register with the CRPO. I chose not to because I am proud to be a registered nurse that allows me to offer more services under one umbrella than a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) could. With a nutrition background, 20 years of community nursing and the MACP, I feel well qualified to assist you in a variety of services.
After your session, you will pay via credit card and I will send you an invoice. You will then submit this invoice to your insurance company. The insurance company will review it and determine your reimbursement.
It is always a good idea to check with your insurance company what your current plan covers. If the insurance company denies your claim, I am willing to advocate for you and provide you with a letter to your insurance company. Unfortunately, it will still be the insurance company's ultimate decision.
I understand that life happens. If you have to cancel and reschedule, I ask that you do this with as much notice as possible.
Appointment cancelled with more than 24 hours before session, there is no fee.
Appointment cancelled within 24 hours of the booked session, 50% of the session fee will be billed.
Scheduled appointments that are a "no show" and/or not cancelled within 24 hours of the session, will be billed the full fee.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, the session fee will not be pro-rated. You will be billed the full session fee.
