I love teaching and sharing my experience with other nurses and clients. Mentorship is naturally something that I have always enjoyed doing.
But why would you consider being a mentee?
Mentorship contributes to the student's (mentee) growth and development within the workplace, providing insight into decision making, planning and promoting clinical skill development. This happens on a regular basis that is agreed upon between me and you.
I believe that mentorship is interactive and co-operative where both parties can grow and learn from each other.
Within the area of Nurse Psychotherapy, my job is to help you gain the knowledge, skills and judgment around psychotherapy so you can practice safely. There will be discussion around the various modalities (CBT, DBT, ACT, etc..), problem solve ongoing cases, review ethical cases, support your strengths and assist in building up the weaknesses and tracking your progress through SMART goals. We will look into case consults and case conceptualizations and I will provide support in building your own private practice.
